The devices like mobile phones, talking computers, and tablet PCs are the means of communication these days. One cannot deny their importance in daily life because endurance without communication is not possible.
Both, the mode of communication and the means of communication are directly associated with each other if our communication devices are good but we don’t know how to communicate or If we communicate in the best manner but our devices are not up to the level then all is fruitless.
Have you ever thought about the communication with God? Have you ever seen any communication device that connects you to God?
Let’s think of the prayer, what do we do in a Prayer? Prayer is the name of submitting one’s intentions toward the Lord either verbally or physically. Yes, It is the way of communication between deity and entity. It is our direct line to the Thorne.
The prayer can be a spiritual exercise or just a supplication. It can also be done in public or in private. It can have words, hush, or even just a physical activity. No matter what! If you are a Christian or a Jew, a Hindu or a Sikh, a Muslim or Buddhist, a Theist or an Atheist, every religion has its defined prayer practices.
A prayer can be done for any reason such as for personal benefits, asking for mercy, blessings, or praise, and in any form like in a group or in private alone.
The Bible says:
“Exalt the LORD our God! Bow low before his feet, for he is holy!” (Psalm 99:5). “‘Yes, Lord,’ the man said, ‘I believe!’ And he worshiped Jesus” (John 9:38).
The Quran Says:
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers – so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward. (Al Quran 48:29)
When I look into the past, I still remember those days when I used to bother my friends and search the web for the best praying techniques and methods. One day, a friend referred me to a book, “How the Prophet Prayed” published by Darussalam Publishers.
The title of the book inspired me a lot, because in the true sense Allah (SWT) introduced the religion ISLAM by the Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him). We have learned the religion from him; hence, there is no doubt that his prayers were perfect and accepted.
I got this book and quenched my thirst for best practices. The followers of different Imams are praying in the methods taught them by their Imams, so what do you think about the methods of Imam of all Imams, prophets, and caliphs. Think…
