Adam – the first man of the universe – was forbade not to eat from a specific tree but he did so and was expelled out of the Paradise. It all happened due to a logic behind; however, we can say, since he was a human and human nature has always hunted to understand nature, his own place in the scene and the reason itself, so he did so. Consequently, we can say that every human has a natural “5W1H” phenomenon in their genes i.e. Why, Where, When, What, Who and How. The thirst of these five “W” and one “H” has made the man so superior that he can fly in the sky, dive in the deep sea, forecast the weather of coming times, communicate with other on the other end of the world or even in space. But still there are many questions which are still un-answered. The key source of the Islamic faith, Quran, is a book trusted by Muslims to be of entirely divine source and that it contains Divine instructions for all humankind. Since the significance of the Qur’an is believed to be for all ages, it should therefore be related to every age. Does the Qur’an pass this test? In this article, I have tried to give an objective investigation of the Muslim belief concerning the divine origin of the Qur’an, in the light of well-known scientific discoveries. Al Quran, claiming divine origin is in cause, asserting to be a miracle. Such a claim should be easily certifiable in any age, according to the ethics of that age. Muslims believe that the Qur’an is the last and final revelation of Allah, the miracle of sensation exposed as compassion to all mankind. Let us investigate this belief.
The ‘Big Bang’
The formation of the universe is elucidated by astrophysicists in a generally accepted way, known as the ‘Big Bang’. This theory is sustained by observational and experimental facts gathered by astronomers and astrophysicists for years. According to the ‘Big Bang theory’, the whole universe was initially one big mass. Then there was a ‘Big Bang’ which resulted in the development of galaxies. These then separated to form stars, planets, the sun and the moon, among other things. The source of the universe was unique and the prospect of its happening by ‘chance’ is nil. However, the following verse of Quran, regarding the beginning of the universe says:
The Expanding Universe
It was 1925 when an American astronomer named, Edwin Hubble provided a proof that all galaxies are diminishing from one another, which means that the universe is expanding. The extension of the universe is now an recognized as a scientific fact. This is precisely what the Qur’an says regarding the nature of the universe:
Human Fashioned from Sulaalah
By the recent studies, we know that only one single spermatozoon that pierces the ovum is enough for fertilization, out of the hundred millions formed by a man. That one spermatozoon from several millions is referred in the Qur’an as sulaalah. The Arabic word sulaalah means quintessence or the best part of a whole. Sulaalah also means mild extraction from a fluid. The fluid refers to both male and female germinal fluids containing gametes. Both ovum and sperm are gently extracted from their environments in the process of fertilization.
Plants are in Pairs, Male and Female
In older times we did not know that plants too have male and female gender division. Botany says that every plant has a male and female gender. Even the plants that are uni-sexual have distinct elements of both male and female. The Quran Says:
I have given very few examples of the comparison; however, this topic is vast. If it is of your interest you can read a book, “The Quran & Modern Science” by a great scholar of ISLAM i.e. Dr. Zaker Nayek. The presence of scientific facts in the Qur’an to coincidence would surely be against common sense and the true scientific loom. The scientific proofs of the Qur’an prove its holy origin. No human could have produced a book, over 1400 years ago, that would contain intense scientific facts to be exposed by only humankind many centuries later.by
